We Are The People

Zechariah 3:8 “8 ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are a wondrous sign; for behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.”

In this context God speaks of a deliverer to come. In the distant future Jesus, the Messiah, would come and reveal Himself to those who would hear His words and accept who He is. In John 15 Jesus said, “I am the vine you are the branches” speaking of His followers.

Today amid all of the confusion and controversy, God is revealing the branches that are prepared to be His fruit in America today. Fruit that will endure, fruit that will be evident to a watching world that God is among His people to sweeten these days of bitterness when innocent people are being killed and harsh words that are like the “piercing of a sword.” Pray today that believers see the opportunities to sweeten life in America and that people that do not know the Lord will see Christ in us as God brings forth His servants – the branches.
