Sunday December 6, 2015 Weekly Prayer Focus

Zechariah 9:8 “I will camp around My house because of the army, because of him who passes by and him who returns.  No more shall an oppressor pass through them, for now I have seen with My eyes.”
Welcome to the Sunday Evening Edition of “We are the People” prayer meeting.  Thank you for joining this prayer movement tonight and may God bless you for your concern for America.
It is asked that you pray for 15 minutes using the 3 focus points below as a guide.  Consider inviting a friend to join us in turning the heart of America back to God through intercession and influence.
Prayer Focus #1:  “I will camp around my house because of the army.”  At times we feel vulnerable and overwhelmed in life as did Israel because of her enemies.  But God’s desire is that we see Him as the scripture reveals “He is a shield about us, the glory and lifter of our head.”
Pray that there be revelation of this truth in the hearts of believers so that we will not be distracted by the enemy’s tactics of fear and confusion.  God is with us and He is for us.  Be at peace and let your light shine in this land of opportunity so that God will arise and His enemies be scattered.
Prayer Focus #2:  “No more shall an oppressor pass through them.”  God promises that oppression shall cease.  In the days surrounding Christ’s birth Caesar and Rome oppressed God’s people.  Today the Church in America suffers oppression by people who are in power that do not understand God’s ways and they have no desire to know them.
Pray that the oppressors be open to understand God’s word or that they be replaced by people who honor the word of God and His ways in the affairs of men.
Prayer Focus #3:  “For now I have seen with my eyes.”  God has His eye upon His people.  The Bible said, “He waits to be gracious”.  When Israel was at its lowest point in Egypt God saw, heard and then acted on their behalf.  Pray that God’s people be strong and patiently wait on God’s hand to be revealed in these last days.  He is watching – be of good cheer.
