We Are The People

Zechariah 12:10 ¹⁰ “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

“There will be mourning as for the loss of a son, even a first-born.”  Jesus is the Son of God and the “first born among many brethren.”

Pray today that on this day when to many it is simply a ritual or obligation to remember Jesus’ death on the cross, that many will feel the full impact of His perfect sacrifice and supreme suffering.  This also will lead to godly sorrow that brings repentance.  2 Chronicles 7:14 teaches us that this alone will bring revival to the land.
