We Are The People

Matthew 9:36-38    But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. ³⁷ Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. ³⁸ Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Jesus said people in his day were like “sheep without a shepherd.” The shepherds of Israel had become hirelings who did not care for the people so the people felt insecure and not cared for.

  Let us pray that the shepherds in America will put away self- interest and care for the sheep (citizens) at every level from community to national leaders. Pray also that these leaders have a change of heart or as the Psalmist said, “God will put down on and raise up another.”
