We Are The People

1 Kings 8:38-39 ³⁸ whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple: ³⁹ then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men).

It is interesting how Solomon uses the word plague to describe a flaw in a person’s heart.  A plague eats away until there is total destruction.

Pray today that across America people will acknowledge the flaws of their own heart and become healthy and whole.  Then God can hear their confession of sin and failure and bring fullness to their hearts and faith to heal the land.
