1 Kings 8:61-62 ⁶¹ Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.⁶² Then the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before the Lord.”

With the commitment to be loyal citizens of God and country came a willingness to give God due reverence through sacrifice. Our president has committed his salary to helping people across America. Of course we know that he has alternate sources of income but the point is he is “sacrificing” what we give him as a salary. Pray that all Americans especially Christians will follow his example of sacrifice to help others come to know Jesus as Savior and His ways to become a part of American life following Jesus’ example. He gave it all away for us.
