Saturday January 20, 2018 “Solomon’s Folly”

1 Kings 11:26-27 26 Then Solomon’s servant, Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zereda, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow, also rebelled against the king.  27 And this is what caused him to rebel against the king: Solomon had built the Millo and repaired the damages to the City of David his father.
Solomon, it seems, gave Jeroboam who was one of his servant’s great responsibilities in overseeing construction and repairing damaged sites in Jerusalem.
Pray that the president and other key leaders in Washington be prudent concerning those brought into close circles pertaining to those things that will rebuild America.  Jeroboam learned too much about the inner workings and rebelled against the king who gave him great opportunity.
