Sunday December 8, 2019 “Concern for the Children”

2 Kings 4:1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday night edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

The woman in our scripture text tonight was the wife of a son of the Prophets. She had a heart for her two sons and wanted them to be free from servitude to the creditor following her husband’s death.
Prayer Focus #1 Pray that we in America will see once again that the answers for life’s dilemmas can be found in the word of God and His people who hold the Word of God as the highest authority in life.
Prayer Focus #2 The widow woman knew that she could go to the man of God and receive help because her husband was a person who feared the Lord and served Him. Pray that there will be an awakening of that same spirit in America today. We need a safe place to resort to in times of need once again.
Prayer Focus #3 The woman was concerned that her 2 sons who were now without fatherly guidance would become enslaved. Pray that families in America will be concerned about their children being enslaved because of ignorance on matters of finance and government.
