In Matt. 5:13 we are told that if salt loses its flavor it is good for nothing but to be trampled underfoot by men. The officer had lost his “saltiness of faith”, was trampled and death came to him. Pray that everything that is not of faith will be trampled under foot of men. God desires for us to receive His word and then go out and share His miracles in this world so some will believe.
