Sunday February 21, 2021 “Use Funds as Designated”
2 Kings 12:4-5
4 And Jehoash said to the priests, “All the money of the dedicated gifts that are brought into the house of the Lord—each man’s census money, each man’s assessment money—and all the money that a man purposes in his heart to bring into the house of the Lord, 5 let the priests take it themselves, each from his constituency; and let them repair the damages of the temple, wherever any dilapidation is found.”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Jehoash had the right idea- let all offerings come into a trusted place – the house of the Lord. Considering this – let us pray tonight following these prayer points:
Prayer Focus #1 That our leaders will be very careful to be good stewards of all revenues that come into government through taxes, etc. There are may places where “lock boxes” must be utilized so that funds that come in for a particular purpose will be so stored and used only for designated use.
Prayer Focus #2 Let the constituency pay their taxes to the priests to repair damages. Pray that leaders will count it a sacred trust to handle finances of Americans who work hard and expect government to do what they should with their hard-earned dollars.
Prayer Focus #3 Pray that those areas of our infrastructure for transportation and communications will be repaired. There must be maintenance issues addressed so we won’t fall behind and lose the use of our great infrastructure that has been built that makes America great.
