Genesis 33:12-13

12 Then Esau said, “Let us take our journey; let us go, and I will go before you.”13 But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are weak, and the flocks and herds which are nursing are with me. And if the men should drive them hard one day, all the flock will die.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Jacob knew the state of his people and possession. With that knowledge he knew what they could endure. Let us find 3 points of agreement in prayer from these scriptures.

Prayer Focus #1: Esau wanted to rush off with the gift Jacob had given him. He understood there needed to be an understanding between him and his brother before they moved forward. Pray that the “Esaus” In America will listen to the “Jacobs” the sons of promise before moving forward in policy that affect everyday life in America.

Prayer Focus #2: Jacob knew the state of his people and his flock and had their best interest in mind. Pray that our legislators will be more concerned with America, not just getting to legislative destinations of their own choosing.

Prayer Focus #3: Jacob had a heart for those nursing, those being nursed and the weak among his people. Pray that as a country we will always care for those who cannot care for themselves.
