1 Kings 15:33-34 ³³ In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah became king over all Israel in Tirzah, and reigned twenty-four years. ³⁴ He did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin.

Even though Baasha fulfilled prophetic words form the Lord through a man of God destroying Jeroboam’s evil family line, he himself took to himself the same evil ways. Pray today that God will give special grace to leaders He raises up in America that they will not be caught up in the same evil ways of those they have defeated in political races across the land.
