Monday September 7, 2020 “Labor Day”
Deuteronomy 28:32-34 Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all day long; and there shall be no strength in your hand. 33 A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually. 34 So you shall be driven mad because of the sight which your eyes see.
On this Labor Day we are going to consider why God allowed His people to have strangers eat the fruit of the land they labored (or worked hard for). It actually drove the people a little crazy watching what happened to their children and their economic situation. All of this happened because of their disobedience of God’s children.
Please pray today as we face those things we read a moment ago that there will be repentance across America for taking for granted the great opportunity to work and take care of our families. May we be grateful for the great economic engine God has blessed us with and work hard to preserve this wonderful gift.
