Thursday October 28, 2021 “Sackcloth Sorry”

2 Kings 19:1 “And so it was, when King Hezekiah heard it, that he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.”

King Hezekiah went beyond the humility shown by his confidants.  He showed more godly sorrow than they by putting on sackcloth which caused much discomfort.  Pray that the sorrow and repentance of those who lead will be genuine and not just a show for political expedience.
