We Are The People

Genesis 17:6-7

⁶ I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. ⁷ And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer

tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Of course, these words concern Abraham but in them we find points of prayer that apply to our beloved America. Let us pray together this evening that these words be a reality for those who have gone before us and for those who will follow after us.

Prayer Focus #1: Pray that in these days when it seems there is little hope for America, and the promise of the prosperity we have brought to the world will continue. That wise and godly leaders will arise whose world view is anchored in God’s word.

Prayer Focus #2: What a promise God made to Abraham. “I will make a covenant between you and Me.” Pray that the covenant promise we find in our Constitution between God and man will be respected and honored as an enduring covenant that has promise of a better life in every generation.

Prayer Focus #3: God’s covenant to Abraham included, “I will be God to you and our descendants after you.” Pray that the God of covenant who gave us our Constitution will be the only true God recognized by future generations.
