Wednesday June 24, 2020 “Tearing of Clothes”
2 Kings 6:30 Now it happened, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he tore his clothes; and as he passed by on the wall, the people looked, and there underneath he had sackcloth on his body.
The King tore his clothing because what he heard was terrible. To tear his clothes the king was saying that he was humbled by what he heard and had to somehow respond appropriately. Pray today that our president and other leaders will know how to respond to reports that evoke feelings of desperation and pain caused by the report.
