“Genesis 17:21-23”

^“21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.” ²² Then He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.²³ So Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very same day, as God had said to him.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. Yesterday we saw that there is more than simply being blessed in life. There are covenant promises God makes to those who are in that relationship. Abraham had a covenant relationship that gave him faith that went beyond natural understanding. Sarai is 90 years old, and Abraham is around 100 years old, and God speaks to him.

Prayer Focus #1: Abraham could see Ishmael, while Isaac remained a promise that would not be fulfilled until another year would pass. Pray that the people of God in America will, as Abraham our Father of faith, see the supernatural as believable because of the one we have covenant with. One year would be a transition year for Abraham and Sarah and it can be for us. Believe!

Prayer Focus #2: God didn’t explain Himself as to how the miracles would come to pass but in the past, he revealed that He could be trusted. Pray that God’s people will take hold of the stirring He is doing in their hearts and believe for a new thing in our day.

Prayer Focus #3: Abraham believed in the power of the mark of the covenant he had with God, and He moved swiftly to fulfil what God had spoken to him. Pray that the call of God in our day will be answered quickly and that together we will see and experience all the blessings of the covenant.
